Introduction
The International Workshop on Ship and Marine Hydrodynamics (IWSH) is a biannual event focusing on marine engineering, ship hydrodynamics, and floating renewable energy. It brings together researchers and engineers from around the world to present and discuss recent developments in the field.
The 13th IWSH (IWSH2025) will take place in Fukuoka, Japan, from 25th to 28th August 2025, and will be hosted by Kyushu University, Japan. The Western Branch of the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers will co-host the event. The event will offer a pleasant environment in which to establish new cooperation and work avenues. As an incentive, the best student submission will be acknowledged with a Best Student Paper Award. Selected papers will be recommended for publication as special issues or columns in Journal of Hydrodynamics and Ocean Engineering based on the regular journal review after the workshop.
The conference will be held at ACROS Fukuoka, a center of international, cultural, and informational exchange in the heart of Fukuoka City. Fukuoka is one of the leading tourist cities in Japan and is highly regarded for its food culture. Lonely Planet selected Fukuoka City in the "Food" category of the "Best In Travel 2023."
